We are constantly bombarded with words – in meetings, on social media, in class, while socialzing. We are so numb to it at this point, they wash over us without us really realizing it. We have perhaps stopped giving careful thought to what we take in, and what comes out of our mouth.
And then we try to communicate in a foreign country. We are immediately forced into considering our words carefully. Thinking through what we want to say. Prioritizing our thoughts and words to be the most clear and efficient we can be.
What if we did that in our native or language of comfort? What a different world it might be!
